Media Widgetised…the dust settles

Just a quick post to say hats off to the guys at Chinwag for their event last night, Media Widgetised. Particular credit to Deirdre Molloy for conceiving of the event and bringing it to frution!

There was plenty of insight and debate about definition of widgets, how to commercialise and how to reach mass penetration. I particularly liked a definition from an audience member that, for him, widgets are like a ‘tear off’ from a website.

It almost goes without saying that, as a widget ourselves,�it was great to see so much attention and energy focussed on the space. It was pleasing also to observe that the debate seems to have moved from ‘why’ to ‘how’.
